His last physical exam was for a colonoscopy in November 2021, when he transferred presidential powers to Vice-President Kamala Harris for a brief time. The doctors said the president was “healthy and vigorous”.
Biden's health check-up comes ahead of his expected bid for re-election in the 2024 polls. Already the oldest American president so far, the reports of his medical examination will be closely watched by the Republicans who have already kicked off campaigns for the upcoming elections.

BIDEN'S AGE AN ISSUE?
Joe Biden's age factor has been highlighted by the Republicans, with some citing instances of confusion and slurred speech. If Biden announces his presidential bid, his potential opponent will be Donald Trump, who is 76. Biden has waved off questions about his age.
Donald Trump has already filed his candidacy papers to launch his 2024 presidential campaign with the US election authorities.
According to a Reuters poll conducted in February, about three-quarters of Americans - including more than half of Democrats and the vast majority of Republicans - said Biden is too old to work in government. Most Democratic respondents said the president remains mentally sharp, but about half of them said he cannot handle the physical toll of the presidency.
In an interview last week, Biden said any Americans concerned about his age should "watch me" perform the duties of the presidency.

DOCTOR'S REPORTS OF LAST MEDICAL EXAM
Biden's last medical examination was on November 19, 2021, when he had a polyp removed from his colon. He transferred his powers to Kamala Harris for one hour and 25 minutes. Harris, the first woman, person of color and person of South Asian descent to be vice president, made history during the short time she served as acting president.
At the last exam, Biden's White House physician, Kevin O'Connor, said he was fit for duty and able to execute his responsibilities. O'Connor attributed Biden's stiff gait to spinal arthritis and "peripheral neuropathy," or some loss of sensation in the feet.Ahead of his expected announcement for re-election in the 2024 polls, US President Joe Biden will undergo a routine physical examination.
