Newly-elected Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi claimed that a Bharatiya Janata Party Councillor even tried to "attack" her. Taking note of the allegations, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said it was "unacceptable".

"During the proceedings of the House, BJP corporator Shikha Rai reached the Mayor and tried to snatch the mic," the Aam Aadmi Party alleged. The party also said it would report the incident to the police.

Taking note of Shelly Oberoi's claims, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, "This is absolutely shocking and unacceptable!" The AAP and BJP members broke into clashes inside the MCD House over the election for members of the standing panel.
